Hello all. I've been pondering over the idea of a set of optional rules to make games more interesting, a carbon copy, of sorts of the Xbox 360 achievements.
This will essentially be a list of house rules(sort of) that will earn a player more experience upon completion of certain tasks. There will serious ones like "win a fight without using any class skills" and humurous ones, such as "For the entirety you spend in [City X] you may only speak in song titles" (or in questions, etc). This is based on an idea I had when I came up with a house rule of my own (which is I award 500 experience to everyone that turns up to the game on time).
In any case, I would appreciate any input you can offer and I would love for you all to get in on this. In fact, once the 3.S rules are finished, I would like to implement them in a book made up of a collection of them, written by all of us.
And so, feel free to add your suggestions here ^_^
I thank you.

This sounds like an interesting idea. Some may have to be told to the players though, otherwie they've got no hope. XD

I think so too. Secret and Open ones should perhaps be one of the many classifications of achievements we should publish.
Any thoughts on what we should call these instead of "achievements"? I'd rather not get sued...
Oh, and any suggestions?

Well, Hellgate: London has Achievments as well, called by that name. You could have such things as "Kill 100 undead" and so on, or "Defeat an Enemy Whose CR is equal to or greater to your ECL with no help." The second one doesn't even have to be in combat. It could be done in RP means.

Nice thought. How much would you suggest for the exp award?
I'll compile a locked list in another thread in a little while ^_^
